6080
A forgotten Chapter of Holocaust History

Berta, Lotte, Helen, Ruzinka, Etta & Julia were Six Jewish girls from Slovakia.

They were deported to Poland in March 1942, from Patronka train station. They were among the very first Jewish women as part of the 6,080 Slovak girls who were sent to Auschwitz.

Out of the 6,080 Slovak girls, only ca. 600 survived.

From the Six to 6,080

In 1942, more than 6,080 Slovak Jewish women were deported to Auschwitz. They were the first Jewish women to arrive.

Their prisoner numbers started at 1001 — ending around 7407. Most of their names were lost or misspelled. The story of The Six is a window into thousands of unheard voices.
