About the event
On Yom HaShoah, we take a moment to remember. Last night, as part of זיכרון בסלון - Zikaron BaSalon with the Melbourne Israeli Scouts, we had the privilege of sharing the story of The Six — six young Slovak Jewish women who survived three years in Auschwitz through their sisterhood, strength, and resilience.
Their story started in silence, but today, we chose to speak up. As third-generation descendants, our mission is not only to uncover the past but also to ensure that memory becomes legacy. In memory of The Six: Lotte Frankl (Weiss), Berta Benau (Hutzler), Helen (Illy) Stern (Kuban), Ruzinka (Rosa) Klein (Gross), Eta Berger (Bartek), Julia Schlemn.
To the next generation of listeners: thank you for choosing to remember 🙏🏻
