About the event
In February 1945, Berta Benau (Hutzler), Ruzinka (Rosa) Klein (Gross), Eta Berger (Bartek), Helen (Illy) Stern (Kuban), Julia Schlemn, and Lotte Frankl (Weiss) arrived at Flossenbürg for forced labor. Registered on March 3, 1945, they were later transported to Hainichen and forced to march 101 kilometers to Theresienstadt, where they were liberated on May 8, 1945.
We must remember and act against rising antisemitism and hatred. "Never Again" must be lived, not just said.
We thank Dr. Timo Saalmann for his support and the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts for their commitment to preserving memory.
At Benau Publications, we are dedicated to telling stories of resilience and survival, ensuring history is honored and passed to future generations.
